Problems with music, photos, or videos
Solutions for when your invitation music doesn't play or starts at the wrong part, a YouTube song fails to add, a photo fails to upload, or a YouTube video doesn't show in the gallery.
Music doesn't play when opened
Cause
- Music only starts after the guest taps the opening button on the invitation cover, for example Buka Undangan (open invitation). The button's look and label vary by theme. This is intentional, because most browsers only allow sound to play after someone taps the screen.
- The invitation doesn't have a song yet.
- You're checking through the editor's preview. The preview in Invitation content doesn't play the song; check on the invitation opened from its link.
- Music was turned off with the music icon on the invitation.
Solution
- Open Background song in Invitation content. The current song appears under Song in use. This section only unlocks once the invitation is paid.
- If "No song yet" shows, click Use on a song in the collection, or add a song with Add from YouTube.
- Open your invitation, then tap the opening button on the cover.
- If it's still silent, tap the music icon on the invitation to turn it back on.
See Music on your guests' invitation and Add a song from YouTube.
Song starts at the wrong part
Cause
A play window is set for the song. The song starts at the second set in Start at, stops at the second set in End at, then loops back to Start at.
Solution
- In the Background song section, look at the Play window card under Song in use.
- Enter
0in Start at so the song plays from the beginning. - Clear End at (click the cross icon next to it) so the song plays to the end.
- The change saves automatically. Click Play the song to hear it.
The full steps are in Set up and control your invitation song.
YouTube song fails to add
Cause
- The link isn't recognized as a YouTube video. The message "Paste a valid YouTube video link." appears.
- Song title is still empty. The message "The song title is required." appears.
- The video can't be played publicly. The Abadikan Help Center asks for a valid, public YouTube link.
Solution
- Open the video on YouTube and make sure it plays without signing in.
- Copy the video's full link.
- In the Background song section, click Add from YouTube, then paste the link in YouTube link.
- Fill in Song title, then click Add & use. The song is set on your invitation right away.
If the song can't be added, an error message appears, usually from the server, explaining why. The generic message "The song couldn't be added. Please try again." only shows when there's no other message. Fix what the message says, or try again in a little while. The full steps are in Add a song from YouTube.
Photo fails to upload
Cause
- In Photo gallery: a file is over 10 MB or isn't a photo, so it's skipped. The message "… files skipped: not a photo or over 10 MB." appears.
- In Photo gallery: the photo was picked but its upload failed. That photo shows Failed, with Retry and Discard this photo buttons. The message "… photo didn’t upload. Tap Retry on it." or "The photo didn’t upload. Please try again." appears.
- In Couple details and Love story: the message "Ukuran file terlalu besar. Maksimal 10MB" (file too large, max 10MB) or "File must be an image" appears. A photo you picked and cropped also isn't saved until you click Konfirmasi Upload (confirm upload). If the upload fails, a message such as "The photo couldn't be uploaded. Please try again." appears.
- Your plan's gallery photo limit has been reached (Kenalan plan: 10 photos). The message "You’ve reached … gallery photos. Upgrade to Janjian for unlimited photos." appears. If you pick many photos at once and some go past the limit, only the ones that still fit are added, and "… photos added. … more go past your package’s … photos." appears.
Solution
- Use a JPG or PNG photo that's 10 MB or smaller.
- In Photo gallery, click Add photos (or Choose photos while the gallery is empty). You can pick several photos at once. Photos are added at their original ratio; cropping is optional, using Crop & aspect ratio on the photo.
- If a photo shows Failed, check your internet connection and tap Retry on it. Photos you don't want can be removed with Discard this photo.
- Deleted a gallery photo by mistake? Click Undo in the message that appears. A photo can't be restored once your plan's photo limit is full.
- In Couple details and Love story, pick the photo, set the ratio and crop, then click Konfirmasi Upload.
- If the gallery photo limit has been reached, delete photos you're not using or upgrade your plan.
Sizes and formats for each type of photo are in Photo sizes and formats. The plan comparison is in Kenalan, Janjian, and Full Custom plans.
YouTube video doesn't show in the gallery
Cause
- The video hasn't been switched on, or its link isn't right yet.
- The link format isn't recognized. The message "This isn’t a YouTube video link. Use youtube.com/watch?v=…, youtu.be/… or youtube.com/live/… Your photos still save; the video waits until the link is fixed." appears.
- Your plan doesn't support gallery videos yet.
Solution
- Open Invitation content › Photo gallery › the YouTube video card.
- Turn on the switch in that card.
- Paste the link in YouTube link. A preview of the video appears under the field when the link is right.
- The change saves automatically. The video appears first in the gallery.
The full steps are in Upload gallery photos and videos.
