Invitation doesn't look right

Updated 17 Oct 2026

Solutions for when your invitation doesn't look the way you set it up in Invitation content, from a preview that doesn't match what guests see to a page that can't be found.

Preview differs from what guests see

Cause

  • Your changes haven't been saved. The editor saves automatically, but the status at the top may show Saving…, Not saved yet…, or Couldn't save.
  • The preview next to the form (or in the Show preview sheet on small screens) shows your invitation as you edit it. Guests open a personal link that contains their code, so they see settings specific to them, such as name order.
  • The Open in a new tab button in the preview opens the published invitation link without a guest code, so it shows the general version.
  • Your browser still remembers a guest code from a personal link you opened before (stored for 90 days), so the invitation link shows that guest's version.

Solution

  1. Wait until the status at the top of the editor shows Saved with the time. If Couldn't save appears, read the message and make the change again.
  2. Click Reload preview in the preview. To see the general version, copy the link from Link & publish with Copy link, then open it in a private (incognito) window.
  3. To see a specific guest's version, open abadikan.id/link-undanganmu?code=KODE in a private window. Replace KODE with that guest's code, shown under their name in the Guest list.

If the preview shows "Undangan ini khusus untuk tamu." (this invitation is for guests only), see This invitation is for guests only.

Name order differs per guest

Cause

That guest has their own Couple order setting, and per-guest settings override Display order in Couple details. Guests with their own setting get a Groom first or Bride first badge below their name. This setting can also come from the "Urutan Pengantin" column when you import from Excel.

Solution

  1. Open the Guest list, then find guests with a Groom first or Bride first badge.
  2. Open the ⋯ menu on that guest's row, then select Edit guest.
  3. Under Couple order, select Follow the invitation setting.
  4. Click Save Changes.

To change the order for all guests at once, use Display order (Groom first or Bride first) in Couple details. That setting saves automatically. See Fill in the couple's details and Add guests and import from Excel.

The title, description, or image that appears when the link is shared on WhatsApp isn't right.

Cause

  • The link preview is generated for the invitation link, not per guest. If Title is empty, the title is "The Wedding of …" with the couple's names in the Display order, not each guest's Couple order.
  • Changes in Link preview haven't been saved.
  • WhatsApp and Facebook may keep showing the old preview for a few days.

Solution

  1. Open Invitation content › Invitation settings › the Link preview section.
  2. Fill in Title, Description, and Cover image.
  3. Changes save automatically.
  4. Wait a moment before sharing the link again. To refresh an old preview, use the Facebook Sharing Debugger.

The full steps are in Link preview.

Invitation section not showing

Cause (depends on the theme)

  • Aruma: the section is turned off in Invitation settings › Aruma theme display › Invitation sections (marked Inactive). Sections that are on but not filled in still show with an empty message, such as "Cerita Cinta Belum Ditambahkan" (love story not added yet).
  • Jingga: the section is turned off in Invitation settings › Jingga theme look › Invitation sections, or its content is still empty.
  • Other themes may hide empty sections or show an empty message. This doesn't apply to every theme; check with a guest link.

Solution

  1. Fill in that section in Invitation content, for example Love story, Dress code, or Photo gallery.
  2. For Aruma, open Invitation settings › Aruma theme display › Invitation sections, then turn on Show this section.
  3. For Jingga, open Invitation settings › Jingga theme look › Invitation sections, then turn the section on.
  4. Changes save automatically. Check again in the preview.

The full steps are in Choose which sections appear on your invitation.

Section or menu missing

Cause

  • Texts & decorations only exists for the Aruma and Jingga themes, and Canvas design only for the Envelope theme. They show as sections in the Invitation content navigation, not in the dashboard sidebar.
  • Digital envelope, Background music, and Invitation settings don't show in the Invitation content navigation until the invitation is paid.
  • Looking for the RSVP deadline or Limit RSVP to guests on the list? Both are in Invitation settings › RSVP, for all themes.
  • Menus with a padlock icon in the sidebar (for example Guest list, Send via WhatsApp, or RSVP & wishes) stay locked until the invitation is paid for and published. The Event day group also needs an active Digital Guestbook.

Solution

  1. Check which theme you're using in Theme, under Current theme.
  2. If you need a section specific to another theme, read Change the theme before changing themes.
  3. If the menu is still locked, see Locked menus for what each state means.

We couldn't find this page

The invitation link opens a page titled "We couldn't find this page."

Cause

The address doesn't match your invitation, usually because of a typo or because it got cut off when copied.

Solution

  1. Open the invitation link from Link & publish with Open invitation. See Copy and share your link for how.
  2. Compare it with the link you shared, then resend the correct link.
  3. If even the link from the Dashboard opens this page, contact support.

If a guest is the one seeing this page, see We couldn't find this page.

Still having trouble

If your invitation still doesn't look right, go to Contact Abadikan support. Include your invitation link and a screenshot of what's wrong.
