Open the Wedding Planner as a team member

This page is for family or wedding organizers invited by an admin through Invite members in Settings & team. You'll open their wedding's Planner and see the menus the admin gave you permission for.

Before you start

  • Make sure the admin has invited you. The invitation is sent to your email with a link to the Planner. If your email isn't registered with Abadikan yet, an account is created for you and the temporary password is in that email.
  • Ask the admin which menus they picked under Can open.

Open their wedding's Planner

  1. Go to the Login page and sign in to your account.
  2. You land on the invitation dashboard of your own account, so it may be empty. In the app bar, click the product picker (it says Invitation), then choose Planner.
  3. The Planner home opens at /wp/dashboard. If your account has more than one wedding, check the name in the wedding picker in the app bar. The next section shows how to switch.
  4. Pick the menu you want to work in from the sidebar.

On a phone, the sidebar is replaced by a bottom tab bar. It shows Home and up to three menus you can open from To-do, Budget, Vendors and Rundown. Every other menu is in the Menu tab.

Switch weddings with Your weddings

Your account can be linked to several weddings at once: your own and the ones you were invited to. They all live in the wedding picker in the app bar. On a phone, this picker moves to the Your weddings card at the top of the Menu tab.

  1. Click the wedding picker (the name of the couple that is open) in the app bar. The Your weddings list opens.
  2. Each wedding shows the couple's name, the event date (or "No date yet"), and Owner or Team member. A wedding whose Planner isn't active yet gets a status label such as Unpaid, Invoice expired or No invoice yet.
  3. Click the wedding you want. The message "Now viewing the wedding of ..." appears and you're taken to that wedding's Home.

Your permissions are loaded again for the new wedding, so the menus you can open may differ from wedding to wedding. Start a new wedding in the same list opens the wizard for a wedding of your own.

If that wedding's Planner hasn't been paid, you're taken to the payment page instead of Home. Every Planner menu opens only after the wedding is paid. See Wedding Planner payment.

Menus you don't have access to still show in the sidebar, but with a padlock (Locked).

MenuWhen you can open it
HomeAlways.
To-do, Rundown, Budget, Wedding savings, Vendors, Uniforms, Seserahan, PaperworkOnly the ones the admin ticked under Can open. Admins can open all of them automatically. Processions follows the Rundown permission.
Settings & teamWedding admins only.

What happens when you try to open a menu you don't have access to:

  • A padlocked menu, or a direct link to it: the page opens with the message You don't have access to [menu] yet. Click Copy message for the admin, send it to the admin, and ask them to allow it in Settings & team. The Go to Home button takes you back.
  • Menu cards on Home: a card for a menu you can't open shows a padlock and the text "You don't have access yet. Ask an admin of this wedding to open it."
  • Settings & team: this menu is for admins only. Clicking it in the sidebar, or opening it from a link, shows "Only the wedding admin can open Settings & team." and sends you back to Home.

Your access is read again from the server every time you open the Planner (and when you switch weddings). After the admin saves new permissions, reload the page (or open Planner again in a new tab) so your new access is loaded. You don't need to log out and back in. Moving between menus in a tab that's already open doesn't refresh your access yet. If your access can't be checked, you see We couldn't check your access to [menu] with a Try again button instead of the no-access message.

Common problems

The Wizard showing up, every menu being locked, and other account issues are covered in Can't get into Wedding Planner or your account.

Next steps

  • Planner home: understand the countdown and progress summary.
  • To-do: check off tasks you've done.
